課程目標 Learning Objectives

本課程對特定的主題做深入的探討。藉此培養學生從不同角度體驗與洞悉語言與文化的關係。 This course focuses on classroom activities, in which students will discuss, read, and write on particular topics together. Ideally, the course will enable students to develop and express their own insights and experience with respect to different aspects of the relationship between language and culture.
本課程可 1. 激勵學生批判性思維。 2. 讓學生平行分析比較西方社會的文化議題及學生自身所處的文化區。 3. 培養學生跨文化溝通力。
Students will be able to - 1. think critically on the relationship between language and culture. 2. draw parallels between the issues discussed in the course texts and those found in their own experiences and communities.

課堂要求 1. 上課須準時,不可遲到早退,公/病/事/喪/生理假皆依校規程序請假,否則以曠課計,每學期請假缺曠時數請勿多於11小時,以免被扣考(曠課一節=請假三節!!!)。出席狀況計算方式:全勤 100分,曠課一節扣5分,病/事/生理假一節扣2分,至0分爲止。 2. 上課時手機請設定為飛航模式或靜音震動,不可使用手機通話。 3. 課前請事先預習,並準時繳交作業。不得遲交,亦不得抄襲。
