課程目標 Learning Objectives
|
At the end of the semester, students will be able to - 1. identify current language teaching approaches. 2. evaluate each language teaching method critically and explore practical applications of these teaching methods to the EFL elementary contexts in Taiwan. 3. integrate games, songs, chants, rhymes, phonics, dramas, role play, storytelling, and multimedia to develop lessons for their EFL teaching contexts.

Projects: 1. Choose an age level and a unit from one of the elementary English textbooks and write lesson plans for three to four class sessions to finish the chosen unit. Please prepare or provide share links of the pdf or PPT of the textbook content, self-created worksheets, and other necessary teaching materials/realia which have to be submitted to e-course. 2. Choose ONE session of the lesson plans that you have designed and present an 8-minute demonstration. Design an evaluation form via Google Form for your classmates to fill in their feedback. =========================================================================================== Course Requirements & Policies:
1. Regular and punctual attendance is required. Please follow the proper procedure if you need to apply for leaves. Absence for more than 12 hours may have a bad result in your scores. 上課須準時,不可遲到早退,公/病/事/喪/生理假皆依校規程序請假,否則以曠課計,每學期請假缺曠時數請勿多於11小時,以免被扣考。 2. Attendance score: 100 for full attendance for the summer session, 5 points off for each hour for absence with no leaves, 3 points off for each sick or personal leave. 出席狀況計算方式:全勤 100分,曠課一節扣5分,病/事/生理假一節扣2分,至0分爲止。 3. Cell phones should be turned off or in silent mode. Students are NOT allowed to have any phone calls during classes. 上課時手機請設定為飛航模式或靜音震動,不可使用手機通話。
