課程目標 Learning Objectives
|
|
Second-year writing builds upon writing patterns and skills developed in the first-year courses. The course content includes four types of writing, starting with elements of larger papers like comparison/contrast, problem/solution, and the description of pictorial data, and culminating in a thrilling persuasive essay. We will also review engrossing stylistic problems like overstatement. Between the major assignments, we’ll pursue engaging secondary writing concerns like statements of purpose, consistent tone in academic writing, and standardized writing test strategies.
