課程目標   Learning Objectives
Learning objectives:

1. Students will be able to expand and reinforce their English conversation skills with young learners.
2. Students will develop the ability to teach young learners English through storytelling.
3. Students will be able to know how to develop children's basic pre-reading skills such as visual discrimination skills, prediction of meaning, picture-word association, the anticipation of common sequences, etc.
4. Students will learn how to inspire young learners' love and appreciation for English storybooks.

成績評量方式補充說明   
Course requirements:
1. No eating is allowed in class. If you bring any food to class and have it while the
session is going on, it will lead to deduction of five points out of your attendance and
participation subscore.
2. Students who do not turn in the designated lesson plan by the due date will receive a 20% lower grade on that assignment.
3. Students are fully responsible for all information and assignments missed due to
tardiness or absence.
4. Students who are absent for more than three sessions will receive a 30% lower
grade on attendance and participation.
5. You should be ready to spend 2-3 hours outside of class each week for this class.
6.. Missing either the mid-term exam or the final will lead to your failing of the class.
7. Please be aware that any plagiarism is not allowed in this class. Any copying and pasting texts from already available sources will lead to your failing of the class as well.
8. The mid-term and the final will be in the written form. All of the assignments will be in the written form as well.
9. Students have to turn in their slides for the instructor's suggestions before formally presenting them in class. The slides have to be submitted one week before the presentation. Failing to do so will lead to the deduction of five points out of the grade of the presentation.
