本課程提供英文在不同情境中的語言使用，如旅遊、觀光、餐廳美食、及生活應用，以強化應用在國際溝通場合之英文技能，並針對英文基本技能，如單字、聽力訓練、真實會話，以培養口語所需之英文表達及互動能力。希望學生修習完本課程後懂得如何規劃適合自己的自助旅行行程。
This course will
1. focus on practice of different types of language uses to discuss travelling, making requests, restaurant and daily conversation.
2. provide learners with language essentials, life skills and learner development to ensure that they are fully prepared and empowered to function effectively within the global world.
3. include essential English skills: language focus, vocabulary, and listening comprehension in each unit in order to provide interactive skills and expressions for oral presentation.

課程成績評分標準
1. 期中考 25%
2. 期末考 25%
3. 小考 (兩次quiz) 15%*2 = 30% (maybe story telling)
4. 錄音作業/簡報 10 %
5. 課堂出席率 10 (曠課一節扣 2分，請假扣 1分(請假達10節課) 扣完10，則此項課堂出席率分數0分計算)
6. 上課表現及學習態度(全勤) extra 5 points
評分相關規定
1. Do not use illegal copies of textbooks for this course. (不可以使用盜版書籍)
2. Don’t cheat in quizzes or exams, otherwise you will be punished based on school rules and
you will get 0 score for the quiz or exam.
(禁止課堂上小考及期中末考作弊,否則會依校規處罰, 成績為0分計算)
3. Students do not have make-up quizzes unless with legitimate and reasonable
reasons. You must have a make-up quiz one week after the planned
quiz. If a student can not come to the course for several weeks with normal letters,
he or she will have make-up quizzes or other alternatives. Based on
fairness of the other students, you will get a discount of 20 percentage off for the grade of
each make-up quizzes.
(For mid-term exam and final exam leaves and make-up exam application, students need to
follow the school policy.)

4. Please hand in assignments on time. Late assignments will not be accepted, and students
will receive a grade of O.
