課程目標   Learning Objectives
課程旨在培養學生英語聽、說能力, 能以習得的英文談論議題, 陳述自身看法,運用多媒體和網路資源找尋資料轉化為口頭報告 。
This course is designed to develop students’ English listening and speaking abilities and build confidence. Students will learn to discuss real ideas, express personal points of view, and give presentations.

Students will be able to -
1. communicate and exchange information on various topics.
2. recognize the elements of an effective presentation.
3. plan, organize, and execute presentations.

成績評量方式補充說明   
課堂要求
1. 上課須準時,不可遲到早退,公/病/事/喪/生理假皆依校規程序請假,否則以曠課計,每學期請假缺曠時數請勿多於11小時,以免被扣考(曠課一節=請假三節!!!)。出席狀況計算方式:全勤 100分,曠課一節扣5分,病/事/生理假一節扣2分,至0分爲止。
2. 上課時手機請設定為飛航模式或靜音震動,不可使用手機通話。
3. 課前請事先預習,並準時繳交作業。作業及小考於考前一週上課時宣佈,當週請務必出席小考,一律不得補考或遲交作 業,亦不得作弊或抄襲。

3. Bi-weekly 2-minute Individual Small Talks in Groups 30%
(Each script is worth 2% and delivery is worth 3%.)
4. 3-minute Individual Mini-Presentations 20%
(script + PPT 5% & delivery 15%)


‧**Bi-weekly 2-minute Individual Small Talks in Groups:
1. Type your scripts and upload your WORD/PDF to e-course.
2. You will be paired up in groups to present your small talks to your members for peer evaluations. You will work with different classmates each time.


***3-minute individual mini-presentation:
1. Choose one of your previous small talks and elaborate it more into a 3-minute mini-presentation to speak in class.
2. Type your script and upload your WORD/PDF & PPT to e-course.
