課程目標 Learning Objectives
|
|
This multi-disciplinary course brings together a number of genres of popular culture though the focus is on English-speaking (particularly U.S.) popular culture of the twentieth century. Because the literary forms of popular culture (like detective, fantasy, science fiction and the like) as well as film are covered in separate courses, these will not play a role in this course. Instead, we will focus on visual arts (comics, animation), oral tradition, popular entertainments, fan culture, musical genres, and the like.
