課程目標   Learning Objectives
Second-year writing builds upon writing patterns and skills developed in the first-year courses. The course content includes four types of writing, starting with elements of larger papers like comparison/contrast, problem/solution, and the description of pictorial data, and culminating in a persuasive essay. We will also review stylistic problems like overstatement. We finish with a discussion of various types of applications, including self-introductions and statements of purpose.
