課程目標   Learning Objectives

1. Students have an overall understanding of different genres in English academic writing and
are able to composite several paragraphs in accordance with the genre.
2. Students will learn how to write the essential components of an English academic essay.
3. Students can have a grasp of the rhetoric focus of each genre and hence are expected to
develop their own writing styles.

2. Requirements:
(1). No late assignment is accepted. You must turn in your journal every week when you come to this class.
(2). You also have to rewrite the compositions which have been edited and corrected by the instructor and turn in
the second or even the third draft if required.
3. Complete the grammar exercises assigned by the instructor weekly and bring it to class for the instructor’s
confirmation of your completion of the assignment.
4. No food or drinks are allowed in class. You are not allowed to use your cell phones unless instructed to do so
for academic purposes.
