***Attendance is mandatory. You are responsible for attending every class meeting. Each hour of absence will result in a 1-point penalty. If you are late for 10 minutes, you will be considered absent. The three situations: 6 leaves / 1 unexcused absence and 3 leaves / 2 unexcused absences will be equal to losing the chance of the final exam. If you are absent for the group presentation, you will be given a grade of zero. Requirements: 1. The assigned text should be read before class. 2. Homework should be done at home, revised and then you may pose questions to be answered in class. Hand in the revised work in the following week. 3. Group discussion with personal presentation will be done in class. 4. No cheating is allowed in this course. 5. Each person needs to answer or ask Q voluntarily for 10 times in English (0.3 point for each, from the 11th time on, 0.2 point for each) in order to get the 15 points for the performance on assignments, discussion and reports. Those who attend certain activities related to English will be given extra points. 6. From the second week on, you will need to sit on a fixed place. 7. No late work. Handouts fee: $50.
