課程目標 Learning Objectives
|
This course is designed to enhance freshmen’s English-language skills by providing a variety of practices in extensive speaking, listening, reading and writing with a focus on vocabulary and grammar knowledge. Another goal is to develop students as confident, culturally fluent English speakers who can successfully navigate the social travel, and business situations that they will encounter in their lives. Finally, it aims to improve students’ English proficiency in order to meet the academic threshold by providing New TOEIC simulation quizzes based on the units in the textbook.
1.聽懂一般生活及 課堂會話 2.以英文交談或 描述一般事物及 陳述看法 3.能正確使用英文於校園及日常會話、對廣泛的主 題陳述看法及意見。 4.能夠掌握各類型的英語演說大意。 5.能利用不同工具及資源進行英文學習,能經由不 同資源了解國際社會及文化特色。

課程成績評分標準 1. 期中考 25% 2. 期末考 25% 3. 口說小考 (兩次quiz) 15%*2 = 30% 4. 課堂或線上小考 10% 5. 課堂出席率 10 (曠課一節扣 2分,請假扣 1分(請假達10節課) 扣完10,則此項課堂出席率分數0分計算) 6. 上課表現及學習態度(全勤) = 將(可)彈性配分入課堂作業+課堂出席率
評分相關規定 1. Do not use illegal copies of textbooks for this course. (不可以使用盜版書籍) 2. Don’t cheat in quizzes or exams, otherwise you will be punished based on school rules and you will get 0 score for the quiz or exam. (禁止課堂上小考及期中末考作弊,否則會依校規處罰, 成績為0分計算) 3. Students do not have make-up quizzes unless with legitimate and reasonable reasons. You must have a make-up quiz one week after the planned quiz. If a student can not come to the course for several weeks with normal letters, he or she will have make-up quizzes or other alternatives. Based on fairness of the other students, you will get a discount of 30 percentage off for the grade of each make-up quizzes.
