課程目標 Learning Objectives
|
|
This course builds on students’ foundational knowledge of language by examining how meaning, sound, society, and history shape human communication. The course explores semantics and pragmatics, phonetics, phonology, sociolinguistics, and language change. Through linguistic analysis, practical exercises, and examples from different languages, students will develop a deeper understanding of how language is structured, used in social contexts, and transformed over time. By the end of the semester, students will be able to identify and analyze key linguistic features, explain how language functions across different contexts, and apply linguistic concepts to real-world examples of language use.
