|
Course Objectives
This course aims to provide a profound exploration of watercolor techniques and formal studies through various practices, uncovering new possibilities within watercolor, and enabling its application in diverse fields such as art, illustration, design, and architecture.
Course Description
In addition to mastering fundamental watercolor techniques, this course further guides students in innovative experimentation with these techniques, opening up more possibilities within watercolor.
Through discussions, students in the field of watercolor art can gain a comprehensive understanding of the meaning and value of watercolor creation, the correct application of materials, and the functionality of watercolor in design.
Students will be able to use watercolors for creative purposes, including concept development, theme selection, composition, color proficiency, representation of tangible forms, and training in abstract aesthetics, fostering comprehensive watercolor creative abilities.
Cultivation of personal creative context and awareness of artistic issues will be achieved by analyzing and drawing inspiration from works by contemporary watercolor masters, drawing parallels, and finding individual creative consciousness and artistic journeys. Through teacher-student discussions and exchanges, students will develop their unique watercolor artistic styles.
Mid-term and final field trips to art exhibitions and studios will provide students with the opportunity for face-to-face conversations with artists, gaining insights and inspiration from their experiences.
Learning Outcomes
Students will have a concrete understanding of and be able to explain the concepts and characteristics of watercolor.
Students will master relevant techniques and materials associated with watercolor.
Students will be able to express their emotional abilities through techniques such as color, structure, and brushwork.
Students will expand the possibilities of watercolor, incorporating contemporary thinking into their individual creative works.
