本課程旨在藉著民俗與文化研究來講解相關的理論與說法。因此，本課程著重在教導學生學習國外新的民俗與文化研究的理論與說法，使學生在撰寫論文(尤其是文獻回顧)時能夠有所依循，進而提升自己的研究水平，提出自己的說法。
