課程目標 Learning Objectives
|
1. This course gives practical experience in writing across several forms and genres. While many people are used to one or two of them, dabbling with others can equip them with useful techniques. Although the focus is on the so-called literature, this course also supplements others offered by this department, such as Translation, Advertisements in English, and Journalistic English. 2. We focus on how to write a poem/screenplay the first semester. In the second, we learn how to write a novel as well as how to write/direct a play. 3. Learn not only to write like a writer, but also to think like a writer.

備註 Remarks
|
* Teaching materials available here. You may have to print them out yourself. * In addition to your novel or play (we cannot complete a whole novel or play, only part of it), students are supposed to do exercises and give them to the teacher, although only the final work is graded *Someone said, "Every word I write is an attempt to hurt my parents." If you do not want to share some of your works, make this clear while giving them to your teacher. Understandable. However, I believe that the only way to really hurt people you know is to leave them out of your book.

* Regarding the practices, you are not required to do them all; however, I strongly suggest that you do some of them at least. A question of attitude, and it's related to your participation.
