課程目標   Learning Objectives
This course is a continuation of the exciting first semester writing course. In respect to sentence-level problems, the focus shifts from grammar to style, and comprises a much smaller part of the classwork. Our primary aim will be to write five major assignments, each of which exemplifies a type: explanatory, descriptive, cause/effect, comparison/contrast, and problem/solution. Other topics include conditionals, clarity, overstatement, and the subordination structure of topical paper organization. We will also discuss plagiarism. AI has a function in this class, and you will see what that is once we get to it.
