課程目標   Learning Objectives
This course provides a comprehensive introduction to the fundamental theories and research in First and Second Language Acquisition (SLA), specifically tailored for future English teachers in Taiwan. We will explore how learners develop linguistic competence and the factors that influence their success.

Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:
1. Analyze Core SLA Theories: Demonstrate a clear understanding of behaviorist, innatist, and interactionist perspectives and how they shape contemporary language teaching methodologies
2. Identify Individual Learner Differences: Evaluate how factors such as age, motivation, personality, and learner beliefs impact the acquisition process within the Taiwanese educational landscape.
3. Perform Learner Language Analysis: Apply the concept of "Interlanguage" to diagnose common linguistic patterns and developmental stages among Taiwanese EFL learners, providing constructive pedagogical interventions.
4. Integrate Research into Practice: Select and adapt classroom activities (e.g., scaffolding, corrective feedback, and input enhancement) based on empirical evidence from SLA research.
