成績評量方式補充說明
成績評量方式 Grading
1. Attendance is required. Attendance will be counted on the first day of class and taken after the bell rings each time. If you come late, you are absent by counting the time of lateness. If you are late for 20 minutes, it will be counted as being absent. Do not come to give any personal excuse. Each hour/ 50 minutes (Two hours/100 minutes) of absence will result in a 1(2)-point penalty of the participation grades.
2. The three situations: 6 leaves / 1 unexcused absence and 3 leaves / 2 unexcused absences without taking a leave from the school will be equal to losing the chance of the final exam.
3. If you do not contribute to the group work or are absent for the exam or the group work or presentation, you will not be given a grade for the group work.

Requirements:
1. You need to sit at a fixed place for the whole semester of class, starting from the second day. Basically 3-4 people will be in a group for the whole semester, depending on the number of students in class. The teacher has the right to rearrange the seat if needed. Each group will take turns to report their ideas. There will be a reporter, a writer, a timer, and an organizer.
2. The class involves basically theory delivery and the class application or demonstration. Besides lectures, personal worksheets and group discussion worksheet will be done in class most of the time and handed in on the same day. You may ask or answer questions in English or Chinese. Hand in the revised work in the next class or the following week, if required.
3. Each person needs to present, answer or ask Q voluntarily for a few times in order to get the points for the performance on participation, assignments, discussion and reports. Three volunteer answers is the maximum done by each person in each class unless there is no other volunteer answer or when it is required.
4. You need to do the exercise in the textbook or assigned by the teacher. You need to hand in the printout of the exercise answers. You need to write the comments on other reports. The comment sheet is counted for 5%.
5. You need to upload the assignment to the e-course by the required time and print out the Qs and answers and your name and number. Each part of not following the rule will lose 10% of the grade. Please follow the format for the printout assignment. Each part of violation will lose 10% of the grade. The make-up work for the worksheets or any homework will get 70% of the grades offered.
6. Everyone needs a textbook or e-book for the course and cannot use the printout because of the intellectual property rights. If you forget to bring the textbook, you will lose 0.5 total grade of the course from the second time. Worksheet fee: 10 dollars.
