課程目標 Learning Objectives
|
This course aims to help students to develop a deeper understanding of the production and description of speech sounds. Topics covered include acoustic phonetics (the physical properties of speech sounds), articulatory phonetics (airstream mechanisms, the configurations of the vocal tract, place of articulation, manner of articulation, etc.), and IPA transcription of English sounds (broad and narrow transcriptions).
