課程目標 Learning Objectives
|
Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:
1. Execute the complete writing process—including brainstorming, outlining, drafting, and revising—to produce polished final drafts.
2. Formulate clear, compelling thesis statements and develop relevant supporting arguments backed by specific examples and details.
3. Apply correct intermediate-to-advanced grammatical structures, sentence variety, and academic vocabulary appropriate for the B2 proficiency level.
4. Compose well-structured, unified, and coherent academic paragraphs and multi-paragraph essays utilizing appropriate rhetorical patterns, such as cause-effect and comparison-contrast.
5. Identify and correct common mechanical, organizational, and stylistic errors in their own writing with the assistance of generative AI.
AI Usage Policy for Writing Revision:
1. Permitted Use: Students are permitted to utilize artificial intelligence (AI) tools exclusively to assist with the revision, proofreading, and editing stages of their writing assignments.
2. Prohibited Practice: Direct copy-pasting of AI-generated text, paragraphs, or entire essays into final submissions is strictly prohibited and will be treated as academic dishonesty.
3. Application Standards: Students must use AI feedback critically—focusing on grammar correction, vocabulary enhancement, and structural suggestions—while ensuring that all submitted work authentically reflects their own voice, ideas, and original composition process.

Course Requirements:
1. Regular and punctual attendance is required. Please follow the proper procedure if you need to apply for leaves. Absence for more than 12 hours may have a bad result in your scores.
2. Attendance score: 100 for full attendance for the summer session, 10 points off for each hour for absence with no leaves, 5 points off for each sick or personal leave.
3. Cell phones should be turned off or in silent mode. Students are NOT allowed to have any phone calls or wear Air-Pods or similar devices during classes.
4. Please come to class prepared and submit assignments on time. Please beware that copying AI-generated content is NOT ALLOWED at all times.
