課程目標   Learning Objectives
This course is designed to develop students’ speaking and listening skills in English. The course objectives are as follows:

1. Through active participation in various tasks and activities carried out in class, students are expected to build their English oral communication skills.

2. Since topics covered in the main textbook as well as in other supplementary materials will relate to students’ everyday lives, each student is expected to be well-prepared to contribute to class discussions by sharing personal life experiences and observations (and critical opinions) of current world/social issues.

3. Group and individual presentations are designed for students to demonstrate, among other skills, their independent thinking; therefore, students should learn to take advantage of every possible learning opportunity that might enhance their independent and creative thinking skills.
