課程目標 Learning Objectives
|
|
First-semester writing (Composition I) is essentially an advanced grammar course; the writing assignments will serve as a medium to demonstrate the grasp of grammatical concepts. The range of grammar points we tackle is reflected in the weekly schedule. We conclude with a class on paragraph form and academic writing as a transition to the second semester. This course is part of an integrated, four-semester program, which moves from advanced grammar (I) to paragraphs (II) to essays (III) to basic research methods (IV). I will talk about our large-scale goals in our first meeting.
