課程目標   Learning Objectives
Upon completing this course, students will be able to:

Comprehend fundamental economic concepts such as GDP, unemployment rates, inflation, and economic growth. Evaluate how these indicators are measured and assess their effects on the economy.

Recognize and understand the main perspectives on factors influencing the overall economic performance, and develop the ability to analyze their impacts.

Gain knowledge of key macroeconomic policy approaches, analyze the effects of policy actions, and assess the advantages and disadvantages of various policies.

17 Discussion and consultation Groups arrange private meetings with the instructor for consultation to revise and improve their final written reports.  Students read the economic reports of an economy, then based on the knowledge they have learned, they proceed to summarize and analyze the characteristics of that economy. Based on these analyses, they identify the opportunities and challenges of the economy and propose some policy suggestions to address these issues.  The group's written report is submitted to the E-course platform after consulting with the instructor.

成績評量方式補充說明   
Class Participation (15%): This refers to students' attendance and their active involvement in the learning process during class. It includes activities such as asking and answering questions, engaging in discussions, and responding to the instructor's questions.

Quiz (15%): A short assessment used to evaluate students' knowledge or understanding of a particular subject or topic based on the assigned homework. Quizzes may include multiple-choice, true/false, or short-answer questions.

Midterm Exam (30%): A closed-book, individual exam that includes both multiple-choice questions and short answer. A note sheet (two sides of an A4 paper) is allowed.

Final group presentation and written report (40%): Each group, consisting of 4-5 members, will present on economic issues related to a specific country or economy. Groups are required to select different countries or economies and not overlap in their choices. Subsequently, a final report, including both the written paper and presentation slides, must be submitted to the instructor.
