課程目標   Learning Objectives

Listening

【Performance】: Students are expected to participate in listening drills and demonstrate listening comprehension through various practice.
【Condition】: Students participate in class activities including dictation, keyword fill-in-the-blanks, multiple choices, and making summaries.
【Criteria】: Students demonstrate how well they understand spoken English by giving feedback, actively showing they are building listening comprehension with the exercise from the textbook.


Speaking

【Performance】: Students are expected to engage in various oral activities in English. The activities include pair work, group work, role play, dialogue, and reading aloud self-made sentences.
【Condition】: Students have to learn to communicate more confidently in various forms of oral communication.
【Criteria】: Students demonstrate their verbal delivery either in English with their partners or in front the class. Grading criteria focus on students’ pronunciation, fluency, and talking manner.

Reading

【Performance】: Students are expected to improve reading skills by skimming, reading specific information quickly, reading to the gist, guessing, inferring meaning from context.
【Condition】: Students have to learn to engage in intensive reading, mainly articles in the textbook. They need to strengthen reading skills by building vocabulary base both for general purpose and for academic purpose.
【Criteria】: Students demonstrate their reading comprehension by doing exercise in the textbook, such as multiple choices and fill-in-the blanks. Further practice may involve extended reading materials from authentic texts.

Writing

【Performance】: Students are expected to be equipped with the ability to understand essays with complete structure and clear logic
【Condition】: Students have to learn to use writing strategies to
produce their own Composition. These may include create logical
analysis and recognize main ideas or supporting details from designated
articles, and students may try to come up with their own version of
writing.
【Criteria】: Students demonstrate their writing by recognizing topic
sentences, supporting sentences, and paragraphs in essays. Students may
need to expand their writing into longer essays if required.
