My feeling：
I have the same idea and feeling with the Prime Minister said in this lecture. It is time to build a global coordination for every country and every person. Actually, it is too late for doing this. Why do I say that? We can see that there are more and more disasters occurred through the whole world in recent years. Such as the 911 attacks in the USA, earthquake in Haiti and Chile, global financial crisis, bankruptcy in Iceland, people demonstrate against the government in Middle East Countries……and so on. As the above events I mentioned are caused serious influence on the world. Some countries were turbulent and some countries had heavy economic depression, these circumstances affected all the lives of people in every country and every national interest. This is doubtless.

Therefore, the global coordination is very important to the whole world, if we hope the world will become a peace and prosperous international village. Moreover, it is also our responsibility to make more efforts for the world, after all, it is great business to every citizen of every country.

There is no doubt that we live a world which people called global village. Obviously, the technologies have a great improvement and it changes human life. There are numbers of examples to indicate how the technologies affect people’s life such as the Internet. People surf the Internet to get the information which they want. It’s very convenient for people to have a bargain on the Internet just click a mouse. The businesses can offer their products by the Internet to expand more markets and the consumers also have different choices to afford the goods. Global village is shortening the distance between people from the world.

The distance is not a difficult problem for a modern society any more. However, there also brings tow opposite different views completely. The one is global ethic and the other one is national interest.

The speaker told us that people have responsibility to our world. If a terrible disaster which we cannot predict happened such as earthquake, a country usually needed other country offers some resources in needed. The alliance is a trend choice for nations to face troubles which the government cannot solve. People can get together based on global ethic and make a better world which is filled with love and peace by this belief.

However, even though global ethic is a kind faith can recall the human good natures to make world more peaceful and harmonious, there still have a lot of conflict between global ethic and national interest. According to the game theory and cost theory, people make a decision based on self-interest and relation. There no doubt that most human will make the best choice to receive the greatest interests. There is the same to come to the nation interests. There is a theory named “rational theory” which support people or government will make a best decision rationally. It can explain why “Copenhagen agreement” was failed.

The balance between global ethic and national interest are though to people to make. There is no right answer actually because this is just two different values.

After listening the speech, as time goes on growing global economic, the new word “citizenship responsibility” is created. The world is a global village. The growing technology becomes a communication tool. But global ethics becomes an important lesson. Between country and country, the country interest conflict in global ethics. Times changing, the strong country faced the weak other. They are not equal. In the situation, these problems have to solve by these leaders. In the global village, there are many factors effecting each other. “culture”、 “technology”、 “religion”、”economic”, these factor is important for everybody in the world. What to deal with the society lesson. It is faced by every country in the world, and tests the wisdom of the leaders.

Faith and ethics is very important. In the economic growing environment, these factors do not still gain an advantage over the economic. It is difficult to gain the balance society lesson and country development.

In this talk, Gordon Brown considered that the responsibility of global ethic is about global citizenship; besides, he also mentioned we should cooperation from each other in order to have a better world. More importantly, not fear of to face any challenges.
In these days, as large technology progress, more and more related products be invented and improved, such as table PC (i-pad), cell phone not just a phone! It can be an e-wallet moreover, surfing on the Internet. I believe in the sooner future, sitting in front of the table, pressing some buttons, a few minutes later, the delicious food appear in your eyes!
We should gather strengths of everyone to protect our environment, making some practical politics. For example, when annual “earth day”, turning off the light for an hour and turn the air conditioner on low make carbon reduction.
I wish global have no more disasters than before. Everyone who live on earth can happiness all the time.

Actually, people live in the world nowadays are not only concerned with their own country, they have to concerned with the world. Because of the world become more and more small. That means the countries to another country’s distance have shortened, due to economies, technologies, communications, and so on. Globalization is the major trend in the world; no one can isolate against the world and live self-sufficient. That all can’t be solved by individual country, no matter worldwide environmental crisis, global financial tsunami, or security problem. These problems need to transnational cooperate that can be solved. And the successful factor of global cooperation is all countries have global ethic. That’s necessary.

But “each coin has two sides”. I think there are some disadvantages about global ethic. Now many countries take the environmental problems seriously, and they have sign many agreements to protect against the environment destroyed. But such as Africa countries their economies are just developing. And those agreements are signed by developed countries, and those agreements limit the developing countries to develop their economy. I think that is not fair to those developing countries. Because environmental destroy almost damaged by developed countries when they are developing. But now the developed countries say”we need to protect the environment, that is global responsibilities”. If the global ethic‘s ideas can’t be infixed our minds, I think the global ethic’s ideas are possible utilized by the power states eventually.

Because of the information revolution, international relations have extremely changed. Information revolution not only brought the benefits but also the new problems. Therefore, we should start to place importance on global ethic. Every country and citizen should consider it as a responsibility to make our world better.
On the other hand, protectionist will lead to global economic recession. If we only focus on our own national interests, the world will never be thriving and prosperous. In fact, the phenomena will undoubtedly affect nations of the world.
There is no doubt that he world changed fast so that there are many problems that we can not control. Thus, only by linking up international knowledges and powers can we confront the full impact of the global issues.

I have been not touch English for a while since the last TED homework. These days, I abandoned myself to learning another language by watching Korea TV series. The male title role was so handsome; therefore, my daily life became pink and joyful. However, beyond my expectation, the happy life is end now. I almost can hear the sound of my heart broken in the moment l saw teacher put the homework on the web page.

Ok, let’s come back to the subject.
I have to say, actually, the speech I listened was “Asia’s rise—how and when”. I will write the right contents to make up for the mistake next week.

The speaker is good at making fun to all audience. It’s a great time to hear his pearls of wisdom. He started the speech with his own experience when he studied abroad. He found astonishingly that the attitudes toward learning are different between Swede students and India students. In contrast to India students, who work hard to read textbook twice or more, Swede students read once and then go to play.

In my humble opinion, the different behavior in two country’s students is cause by their point of view. India students need to fight for better future themselves, that’s why they don’t slack off in studies. On the other hand, Swede students may have good background; they would not see study as the primary thing.

I am not sure which is good or bed, right or wrong. The thing I want to do is not to learn from one of them, but is live as long as I can. I want to see how the world will be, it will absolutely fun!!

It takes me something in the lecture by Prime Minister. In the speech, GB thinks recognizing our responsibilities to others are global citizenship. He believes the concept of global citizenship will simply grow out of people talking to each other across continents. The task is to create the institutions that make that global society work. But he doesn't think we should underestimate the extent to which massive changes in technology make possible the linking up of people across the world.

There is no doubt that we are living in a global village. In this generation, although national remain is important, global responsibility is necessary, too. In my opinion, communication becomes far and wide. Also, any affect becomes globalization. Global ethic and global cooperation becomes imperative. Even though, it’s not easy to arrive. In my part, it’s a good idea to let our world become better.

The development of Technology reduces the distance between countries. So people living in the world now not only concerned about their own country, but should be concerned about the development of the whole world. Convenient living environment make us can not only care about ourselves, but also concerned about the life around us, because it will influence each other.
There are many phenomena of recent disasters proved that is not distance between countries. For example, Japan's tsunami and nuclear calamity not only hit the Japanese economy and life, but also affect the surrounding country and the world financial system. However, when the national interests and global ethics are in conflict, what do we do? As the world has become a global village, people can not live alone, so the priority should be to the global ethics, so as to make the world continue to run down.
But in reality national interests and global ethics is difficult to balance. Many countries have signed the agreement to the global environment, because noted that environmental destruction will affect the lives of human life. However for developing countries, environmental protection agreement signed hinder national development. So now the most important thing is to find a suitable way for developing countries to develop the economy without undermining the environment!

This speech showed me how important the global ethic is. We know environmental protection is very important. But, our decision-makers always have another version when our interest involved with the issues. So, I am interesting in how the British prime minister face the question. And he actually gave a good answer. He proposed some concept which is possible. For example, he thought the developed countries have to give some subsidies to poorer countries. The developed countries should have some consensus to cut CO2 emissions down. Those are good idea to make the environment better. But, I think he needs to think about how can make American accepted.
Moreover, the international organizations’ recycling is another important question. How to make the international organizations work efficacious? Not to be the joke in the speech. I think it is a new international issue we need to ponder.

In this speech ,it main describes what the important things we have to think about and put into practice in our life, it’s to understand the network of global, in other words, we must be familiar with the issue of global citizenship.

What’s “global citizenship”, in my opinion, it’s an obvious conception about the responsibility that everyone should take on for others. Maybe you’ll feel confused and start to ask for the explanation of it, well, my response is “fair” and “justice”.

Although the speaker wasn’t offering of these two notions, they still had the existential necessity of being discussed with. We should make good use of our capacities to assist with those people who needs us with time bound for some natural disasters, or artificial accidents. Though that, we can behave without the expectation of creator and have the world be better.

Finally, in the same time I perceived what the significant with others’ help in the whole world and the strong power of human cooperation, that’s actually touched me so much!

The Ted of this week is talking about all the countries in the world and has to accept that there is no country can live in isolated way. Beside, this lecture let me think about the term which is called“The Butterfly Effect”that is recently happening in Middle East.

The Butterfly Effect has happened in Middle East for a while, and that is interesting to find out that the first demonstration taking place in Tunisia. Notwithstanding the distance from Tunisia to Middle East has a little faraway, the global village don’t have boundary and this successed quickly let the people of Middle East know that the demonstration is the current trend as well. As the result, the successful experience transmitted to other Middle East by the Internet, and I am sure the phenomenon of pursuitting this democracy will be hard and last a period of long time.

In short, everyone in the world can’t isolate in their own way even if the country which is people live. Moreover, no matter how good or bad the things that is happening in one country are, it will affect other countries around the world. Therefore, every country should have this concept and couldn’t be extinguished.

The speaker mentioned that the global citizenship it is about recognizing our responsibilities to others. Also it is obvious to most of us to build a better world. But actually we do not necessarily have the ways to do so. Besides, we cannot disregard the extent to which massive changes in the Internet make possible the linking up of people around the world.

For instance, the problem of a recession is that people become more protectionist and they just be selfish and try to protect their own nation. But the world economy cannot move forward there is trade between the different countries. Furthermore, if the nation would become protectionist, it would deprive itself of growth in the world economy. That is why Taiwan contracted with China for ECFA, or joining the APEC.

Global ethic is a more important issue, because today, is a global village. Just like British Prime Minister Gordon Brown said: global ethic is about global citizenship and it is about recognizing our responsibilities to others. Nowadays, the international situations are “one small mistake can cause a chain reaction”. In my opinion, the conception of global ethic is too ideal to achieve it. The majority of people are selfish, unfortunately, global ethic need a basis of unselfish. However, people can be cultivated,taught,instilled. That’s why the world can become more wonderful. But now, the world’s developmental conditions need be changed again, if we did it, the world will toward a better gradation. Gordon Brown mentioned: we can persuade that what is necessary for our long-term interests, what is necessary for others’ long-term interests. As the saying gose “putting yourself in someone’s shoes .” Only when we are considering the chain relationships are around us and understand the importance of mutual help, that human can step forward. Finally, I want to express is I trust we can do it.

The globalization has coming in recent years. As Gordon Brown said, it is significant that build the global ethic and global citizen responsibilities. Because of each countries trade closely and the climate change, people understands the global cooperation that is important little by little.


How do achieve global cooperation? Accord to Gordon Brown said, rebuilding international organizations is useful way. Actually, it needs to be changed urgently, for example, traditional international organizations can’t deal with that climate change cause damages in the world. Therefore, it must reinforces the cooperation to deal with many doubtful crisis.


How do reinforce the cooperation? Signing treaties is a good idea that helps to achieve the goals. For example, developed countries can construct the tsunami warning system to reduce casualties together or developing can subsidize developing countries’ economic damages that reduces resources dosage to achieve the earth lasting conduction. If people can abide by treats accurately, we must found new future.

This speech showed me how important the global ethic is. In recent years, as the climate change, people are faced with a lot of disasters. For example, like earthquake, tsunami in Japan and torrential rain in America. Just like the British Prime Minister Gordon Brown said: I’m trying to suggest that there is a huge opportunity open to us that was never open to us before. And the power to communicate across borders allows us to organize the world in a different way. And I think, look at the tsunami, it’s a classic example. Where was the early warning systems ? Where was the world acting together to deal with problems that they knew arose from the potential for earthquake, as well as the potential for climate change? And when the world starts to work together, with better early warning systems, then you can deal with some of these problems in a far better way.

In my opinion, the “Globe Ethic” means that by the ability of people to cooperate in a world.

With regard to the article of Gordon Brown, I agree to his view. Undoubtedly, I think global ethics above the national interest. For example, when faced environmental problems, countries need to work together to face the global issues. They may not for their own national interests, but don’t face it. However, some countries in order to protect their own national interests, they would violate the agreement. It is very immoral, and it is not responsible for the global ethics. On the other hand, the enterprise looks like the country. They should be responsible for the society. That is the society responsibility. Therefore, no matter the country or the enterprise, when you pursue more benefits, you have to take care of this world and this society more over.
